What It’s Like To Be in a Long Distance Relationship

Long distance relationship never works—
That’s how most of us see it. You will have to endure thousands of miles apart, have to celebrate special occasions via Skype or FB messenger dates, have to rely on your wifi connection so you can talk about how your day went while having to endure counting the days when you two will be together again.

It’s not easy. It will never be easy. But it’s manageable, especially if you both try to make it work, despite the distance, the homesickness and the fights you have to endure because you miss each other.
You may not always have your weekly dates together but knowing that somehow, someday, you’ll get to be in the same timezone, same country and in the same room together with your special someone makes everything easier.

Being in a long distance relationship is never easy, but it sure is worth it. ❤

Love Month Thoughts

When you love, you’ve got to give everything you’ve got.

I don’t know where I got that quote from, but I know it has served as an anchor every time I decide to give my heart to someone.

They all say, you have to save something for yourself so that when all else fails, you still got back up, you’re not empty and that you can still start a new.

But I guess, it really is different strokes for different folks. Because when I do, I am all out. I will give everything I have got, regardless and no matter what.

Loving someone has its perks and downfalls, like anything else.

Being in a relationship means building a life with someone, a life that you will carefully plan out together, there will be numerous times you have got to suck up your pride just for everything to work out, there will be countless moments you have to understand and compromise to your partner and buck loads of tears that you have to endure to keep everything at bay.

But being in a relationship also gives you a lot more reasons to wake up everyday and smile because you know you have someone who will be there for you, who will understand you and inspire you to be better no matter what, always.

I have always believed in love. And I know that what I have is real, it may hurt sometimes but the happiness it brings is all worth it. ❤

2016’s Looking Pretty Good

It’s the fourth day of the year 2016, I should be at work right now, but I’m stuck at home because I forgot my keys inside my room and I need it to open our gate door.

So while I was trying to contemplate and try different tips, hacks and tricks found on the internet to open the locks, I thought of reflecting why was I given this kind of situation on the first working day of the year.

I realized I need this time out to be able to reflect on my goals and plans for the year, one of which is to update this blog regularly, be healthier, travel more and make better choices.

2016’s looking bright and I’m so ready for it.

Waking Up With A Brand New Heart

What if your dreams were a rerun of a certain experience that’s been haunting you for years already?

Waking up knowing and feeling that it still hurts. Reliving how it was so real and how it was once the reason why you felt what you felt for years.

It’s hard. And excruciatingly painful.

But you know what happens afterwards? When you’re in your rock bottom? When you’re at your lowest low? Life will just wake you up with signs, events and moments that will make you realize—though it may have once hurt you deeply—that it is also over and that this is the perfect time to begin again, because, today, there are no promises broken, goals unreached, future dreams planned, with someone who will just leave you at the end of the road, lost and clueless.

Because this time, you’re waking up from that bad dream, with a completely new heart very much equipped to take on life’s promise that everything will be better—it will be. Just open your eyes.

Photo Diary: Temple Hopping in Kyoto

Aside from Tokyo, Kyoto is one of the popular cities that travelers frequent to, especially if you opt to experience and see Japan’s traditional lifestyle and have a photo-op with geishas.s

Last March, I hopped on a plane and decided to do my first solo travel to the land of the rising sun. First on the itinerary is Kyoto, the city boasts of temples where you can see how the locals respect and preserve their culture and heritage. Continue reading “Photo Diary: Temple Hopping in Kyoto”
